Attendance policies are both out-of-date and one-sided. Salaried employees are treated as wage workers and expected to be in the office during all business hours, regardless of additional time spent working/traveling/etc the rest of the week (no comp time). Flexibility of hours for appointments (children/doctor/etc) is a struggle, even for only a half hour; anything beyond this and you need dip into PTO. All employees are expected to work in the office; telecommuting is allowed only in extreme circumstances, such as power outage.
